Well it sure has been awhile! I've been super busy as I'm sure everyone has been with the holiday season still somewhat upon us. But looking to the new year means new adventure and excitement! I hope to hop back on that Twitch horse and try to stream my heart out and meet some new fun people to enjoy some gaming with.
With my birthday coming up in January, the holiday season will be slightly more behind us, but that doesn't mean the spirit of giving [.....]

If you were wondering where I've been, or even if you haven't, I'm going to tell you anyways. I've been preparing myself for the launch of Black Ops 3! While the release date is a busy day for me as I work hard to keep my girl friend happy on her birthday, the weekend that follows will be filled with plenty of play time.
Alongside the release, or a day later rather, marks the start of the Extra Life Charity 24 Hour [.....]

Less than a month from now, more specifically November 7th of 2015, Extra Life will be hosting their yearly gaming event. If you don't know what that is, head on over to Extra Life's website an you can take a look for yourself at a lot more information!
In short, every year thousands of gamer's come together and stream for 24 hour marathons to help raise money for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Donations are taken in and all proceeds are given [.....]
Yesterday marked the official end of the Star Wars Battlefront Beta! It was truly an exciting game, but there are many things that I personally found wrong with it. While it's very much your authentic Star Wars type game, there were certainly more than a few times I grew very frustrated with it.
The Good:

Yesterday EA announced they were extending the Star Wars Battlefront beta for another day to give EA time to further test their infrastructure and in hopes to "find some extreme scenarios" which for us means possibly losing connectivity or being booted out of matches. This extra day as they state, is being performed to ensure the infrastructure for the launch on November 17th 2015.

Yesterday I managed to snag a Star Wars Battlefront beta key for some early access beta (thanks to @asd81_) and needless to say, I've never played a game like it. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect and I'm glad I didn't, because it was incredibly fun and exciting!
There's currently a multiplayer and a story type mission, but I have only jumped into multiplayer at this time so I'll provide my first impressions on that as I only played for a few hours yesterday.

We are just a day and hours away from the Star Wars Battlefront Beta that will be taking place on October 8th 2015. While I can't say this was a game I was looking forward to, I am glad it will give me something to play around with while I continue to wait for the release of a few games I'm pretty excited for such as Fallout 4 and of course Rainbow Six | Siege.

Today marks the day that the Rainbow Six | Siege Beta comes to an end. While I believe at the time of writing this the servers are still up, I'm stuck at work and unable to play. With that being the case, I figured it's probably about time to write a follow up to my thoughts on the game and the experiences I had.
For starters, aside from all the bugs, matchmaking, and disconnects/errors this was by far the most fun game I have played in [.....]
It's been an exciting week since the beta launch of Rainbow Six | Siege! There's been a lot of feedback to the development staff and there's been a lot of play time between all systems. In an exciting announcement yesterday, the team over at Rainbow Six decided to extend the beta yet again! Originally thought to end on the 28th of September will not run through October 4th. I wanted to bring this video in because I think it's funny mostly. But I also see a lot of complaints on the Rainbow 6 | Siege Reddit. But those complaints typically indicate matchmaking as the issue.
While I will agree with most of these complaints, it's a well known issue. But then there's in-game bugs, like this one. Enjoy

As some of you may know, the closed beta for Rainbow 6 | Siege started last week on the 24th! I will be splitting this post into a couple sections. Firstly, I will discuss how I felt about Ubisoft's deployment of their closed beta. I will then go on to discuss my actual thoughts about the game such as game play and matchmaking in another post.
